9th Outdoor for a Cause (Community Service & Tree Growing)

The Youth and Student for Peace Pilipinas-Misamis Occidental has joined the City Environmental and Natural Resources (CENRO)-Oroquieta and SAVE Society as their official partner in the 9th Outdoor  for a Cause Community Service and Tree Growing last April 1 to 4, 2021 in Sitio Konowanan- Siatog Peak, Mt. Malindang Range Natural Park Oroquieta City.

The Youth and Student for Peace-Misamis Occidental donated 54 kilos of rice, enough to assist 34 families as part of their community service, an effort to support people living in the area who don’t have any access to other resources. The CENRO had also revisited the area and conducted a tree growing on the trees they had planted years before.

Planting more trees around the world helps to preserve healthier soils and humidity levels in the air. It all starts with trees controlling the water cycle. Trees capture air and return it to the atmosphere by transpiration, actively filtering and maintaining humidity levels wherever they are. Trees that are freshly planted, on the other hand, cannot last if they are not given constant care, and that is why they conducted tree growing after tree planting. A revisiting to the tree planting site to ensure that it gets the attention it requires in order to grow.
