Building Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community

As the first Sunday of August kicks in, during the Sunday Family Service of HPHC-FFWPU Philippines, Dr. Robert S. Kittel, the Director for Education of UPF-Asia Pacific and International Chairman of IAYSP, shared that education is a way of building Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community in the Philippines and the world.

The Sunday Service program started with the singing of the Holy Songs, the Cheon Il Guk Anthem and the recitation of the Family Pledge and its meaning. Mr. Richell Jalipa led the Opening Prayer and it was followed by the Scriptural Reading by Mr. Ravie Malaza. The HJ Global News report of the PeaceTV was played. Then, Ms. Celine Louise Deapera offered a song entitled “Above All” which moved the audience into tears as they thought about how Heavenly Parent and True Parents sacrificed in history.

In his Sunday sermon, Dr. Kittel shared that building Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community (HPHC) can happen through education. Dr. Kittel shared about Republic Act 11476 or commonly known as “GMRC and Values Education Act”. He specifically referred to Senate Bill No. 1224 Sec. 9 “Parent-Teacher Partnership and Collaboration in Values Education” and cited Sec. 12 of Philippine Constitution as well. He reiterated that parents are the first teachers. He emphasized that the final outcome of values education and the final goal of the development of moral character is that students become good parents.

He mentioned that the restoration of the Philippines can happen through education. It is evident, first, by how the National Constitution supports True Parents’ values. Second, Philippines has an existing accredited educational institution, namely IPLC. Third, HTM is established on the grassroots foundation. Fourth, the government initiative such as Republic Act 11476 to be implemented through DepEd and the CHED CMO 1 otherwise known as “Integration of Peace Studies/Education into Relevant Higher Education Curricula” backs up any educational initiative that UPF Philippines will make. He also cited one study that even shows that family, education and faith are the top 3 desires of Filipino parents for their children.

In his message, Dr. Kittel also emphasized that True Parents are the realization of Revelation 21:22-27. He also shared how True Mother did two conditions for the declaration of HPHC. The first condition was external through the victory of Vision 2020 and the second one was internal through the three-generation blessing in True Family. True Mother also established the six pillars or primary associations centering on Universal Peace Federation.

UPF paves the path for heads of states to speak in a non-political stage where they can express their concern about social issues such as the importance of family. Through this, the world leaders can be educated on interdependence, mutual prosperity and universal values. Dr. Kittel stressed that the Rally of Hope that will happen on Sunday, August 9, 2020 is centered on this theme. Therefore, he encouraged everyone to support these educational initiatives and work together to establish Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community.

After the Sunday Message, Holy Song # 10 was sung, and the Offertory Prayer was led by Ms. Ella Mae Perez. Subsequently, everyone offered the unison prayer then the singing of Holy Song #33 as recessional song.

For this week’s announcement: On August 15, 2020, there will be an Online Asia Pacific Branch Tour – HJ CheonBo Special Event. The deadline of submission of forms and payments is on August 10, 2020.
